The Legends HAWAII PACIFIC UNIVERSITY CHEERLEADERS

Hawaii Pacific University (HPU) is a Division I school. They are defending National Champions for 8 years in a row. Most of these talented athletes had been accepted into this school based on there pure talent and skills and most of them are there on scholarship. Because they are here on scholarship they must keep there grades above a certain GPA.
They are coached by Savanna Sibley, she is not only the head coach but she was also on the universities large coed team and was captain of there small coed team for the last 5 years of her schooling. She had a vast background in dance and gymnastics. Sibley, started her college cheerleading career at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and is now the coach at HPU.
Every year teams from all across the nation travel to Daytona, Florida, to compete against each other. In college there are different levels that each team enters. Each level contains a different level of difficulty. HPU is at the highest level, which means there is not much that they cannot do. They have a couple different teams that compete, there is the large coed, small coed, and there all girl team... Here is there nationals performance from Daytona Nationals 2011

THE BEGINNING

This blog will be a look into collegiate cheerleading. The division 1 schools, who the champions are, how to's on stunts, jumps, tumbling, and other parts that make up a routine. I hope you all learn from my experience and take into account that I have been through a career of cheerleading and that I do know what I am talking about. Something that I have learned and that I strongly believe in is that ... A TEAM CANNOT GET BETTER IF EACH YEAR THEY START FROM SCRATCH WITH NEW CHEERLEADERS. If you start cheering don't let your team down... Continue till the next year :)
